Creativity Photo Project (2014 – 2017)
OUR ORIGINS · 2014–2017
The seed of be artsy
The Creativity Photo Project was the seed of be artsy. Between 2014 and 2017, Clara Garcia Ortés (Clara G.O.) led this international cooperation project, which used creative, participatory photography to address social exclusion.
Clara ran workshops as a volunteer in schools, orphanages and rural communities in India, Thailand, Myanmar, Nepal, Argentina and Chile.
Through games and activities, participants explored their creativity and imagination. They worked with concepts such as colour intensity, depth and perspective, in workshops designed for all ages.
Be artsy grew out of that work and those shared experiences. This period laid the foundations for the NGO and its approach to creativity as a tool for participation and social change.
The project ran from 2014 to 2017. Today, it forms part of be artsy’s history.
